- Engage the tribes at the beginning, especially the elders
- Don’t rely on old geologic data
- Fully evaluate and consider surface and near surface water impacts
- Don’t oversell geothermal in terms of production or cleanliness
- Recognize that the technology is not standardized
- Commit to a closed-loop system
